Wake Forest’s men’s basketball roster for the upcoming season has been rounded out.
The Deacons picked up a commitment from Matthew Marsh, a 6-foot-10 center from England, on Wednesday.

Marsh recently turned 19 and last played in the Jeep Elite U21 league, which is in France. He averaged 7.3 points and 4.1 rebounds in 14 games (16.9 minutes per game).
Marsh will take the last remaining scholarship for Wake Forest in the upcoming season, and is the seventh player to commit to the Deacons since the season ended. He’s the third post player added this spring, joining Dallas Walton (Colorado transfer) and Khadim Sy (Mississippi). Tariq Ingraham will round out the Deacons’ interior.
Along with the additions of Jake LaRavia (Indiana State), Alondes Williams (Oklahoma), Lucas Taylor (Class of 2021) and Damari Monsanto (East Tennessee State, will miss the season), coach Steve Forbes’ overhaul of the Deacons’ roster seems to be complete.
Marsh makes it a four-player freshman class at Wake Forest — or five, if you include Carter Whitt. Cameron Hildreth, Robert McCray and Taylor have already signed.
And Marsh is (obviously) the second English-born player in the freshman class, joining Hildreth.
Good to have some size again.
