The OGboard really seemed down on the Deacs after the game which I thought was harsh. Sam didn’t have his best game but completed 66.6% of his passes and threw for three touchdowns and no interceptions. I’m sure Sam Howell would have loved those numbers.
I love this synopsis of message board angst and the misunderstanding among the faithful that ODU had the potential to be the most dangerous opponent until week 3 or maybe even week 5, because...opening week. We usually have those secondary issues in openers so this is the most heartening part. But that percentage passing reminds me of Cam's pinned tweet about Wake's postseason record being 69%, which he took down on Friday in favor of gambling Twitter. In related news, I have been locked in on UNC Twitter and Louisville Twitter, so far have seen one account deactivated and +/- six "Is it basketball season"s on replies to official football team accounts. Can't wait till noon on Saturday.
